The white light fixtures use warm white or cool white LEDs, or a combination of these to acheive the whiteness you want also known as color temperature. Typically 2700k is a warmer white similar to incandescent lighting, whereas 5500k would be a much cooler brighter white. With color changing fixtures you can achieve almost any shade of any color.
